Domain 2: Human Rights

  1. Recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world.
  2. Men and women of full age, without any limitation due to race, nationality or religion, have the right to marry and to found a family.
  3. No State Party shall expel, return ("refouler") or extradite a person to another State where there are substantial grounds for believing that he would be in danger of being subjected to torture.
  4. The members of the Committee shall be elected by secret ballot from a list of persons nominated by States Parties.
  5. Each State Party may nominate one person from among its own nationals.
  6. An employer is required to take reasonable steps to accommodate your disability unless it would cause the employer undue hardship.
