I work as a senior front-end developer at the Vanguard Group, in Malvern, Pennsylvania, helping make the company’s user interfaces more accessible for its 30 million investors.
My prior work has been in software development, nonprofit management, real-estate entrepreneurship, and academia. If you really want the details, see my résumé.
Work, travel, and the rest of life have involved me in:
- languages (artificial and natural, and how to translate words automatically)
- models of choice (social, political, and linguistic)
- real estate (commercial and common-interest residential)
- human rights (housing, disability, speech)
I have published on some of these.
I currently live in Philadelphia. My wife, Susan Colowick, is a librarian at the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
